The National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NEAQA) organized a workshop for graduating students of the Secondary School for Information Technology, focusing on one of the most important decisions young people face after completing secondary education – choosing a higher education institution and study program.
During the workshop, students learned about the importance of enrolling in accredited higher education institutions and accredited study programs, as well as the procedures for verifying accreditation status. NEAQA representatives explained the role of accreditation and quality assurance in higher education and highlighted the importance of making informed decisions when selecting a university, faculty, or college.
Particular attention was devoted to the criteria students should consider when choosing a study program, the significance of accreditation for the recognition and credibility of qualifications, and the ways in which prospective students can access reliable information about higher education institutions and their academic offerings.
Through an interactive discussion and practical examples, students were introduced to the standards and procedures that help ensure the quality of higher education. They were also encouraged to consult official sources and accreditation records when evaluating their future study options.
The workshop aimed to support students as they prepare for the transition to higher education and to raise awareness about the importance of quality assurance and accreditation in making well-informed educational and career choices.
