Study visit for the representatives of the Montenegrin Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education (ACQAHE) to the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Serbia (NEAQA) was organised from 23rd to 25th of September 2019. In the ACQAHE delegation, led by director professor Srdja Popovic, were Ana Rutovic, Milica Kavedzic i Tijana Stankovic.
The delegation was welcomed by the NEAQA director professor Jelena Kocovic, with her associates: Ana Jakovljevic, PhD, secretary of NEAQA, Branko Pavlovic, Ana Marjanovic and Aleksandar Jovic. The topics of the study visit were: comparative analysis of quality assurance legal framework for higher education in two countries, the way of functioning and organization of the two agencies, financing of the agencies, compliance of national standards for accreditation and external quality assurance with European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) for quality assurance in European Higher Education Area (EHEA), comparison of procedures in quality assurance processes (initial accreditation, accreditation, re-accreditation, external quality assurance), the appointment procedures and work of the peer-review panels, as well as the possibility of jointly organising trainings and seminars. Also, necessary activities were agreed, in line to prepare joint projects’ applications for future public calls.
The ACQAHE representatives also met with Prof. Dr. Sima Avramovic, president of the NEAQA’s Management Board and members of the board Prof. Dr. Slobodan Unkovic and Mr. Miroljub Aleksic.
The study visit was realized on the basis of the cooperation agreement between the two agencies, signed on June 25th, 2019.
