Official Visit of the ACQAHE Delegation to NEAQA

On May 15–16, 2025, the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NEAQA) had the pleasure of hosting an official visit by the delegation of the Agency for Quality Control in Higher Education of Montenegro (AKOKVO). The visit marked a continuation of close cooperation between the two institutions and served as an opportunity to strengthen professional ties and jointly enhance quality assurance systems in the region.

The AKOKVO delegation was led by Director Tatjana Ćalasan, accompanied by Assistant Director Milica Kavedžić. NEAQA Director, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Zdravković, hosted the meetings, joined by Prof. Dr. Stefan Milojević, Assistant Director and Head of Cabinet.

The guests were introduced to the structure and operations of NEAQA, with particular focus on the work of its professional services team. During the meetings, open and constructive discussions were held on current challenges in quality assurance, examples of good practices, and the need for further alignment of procedures and standards—particularly in light of the criteria for full membership in the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

Special value was placed on the exchange between professional teams, highlighting the importance of joint efforts to improve quality mechanisms, as well as the potential for developing future projects and initiatives of mutual interest. The meetings were marked by a collegial and productive atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening regional cooperation in higher education.

The visit concluded with an agreement to deepen collaboration in the coming period, with both institutions reaffirming their dedication to advancing quality assurance in line with European best practices.

NEAQA remains committed to building strong partnerships with peer institutions in the region, with the strategic goal of fostering a robust culture of quality in higher education.
