NEAQA representatives Aleksandra Ljutovac and Zoran Krčmar participated in the Workshop on the Integration of ESG into the Work of QA Agencies in Higher Education from the Western Balkans, held on July 6-7, 2023, in Zagreb, Croatia. The workshop was organised by ERI SEE (Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe), RCC (Regional Cooperation Council) and AZVO (Agency for Science and Higher Education, Croatia).
The aim of the Workshop was the exchange of experiences between agencies in the process of implementing ESG standards, the presentation of the Regional Register of accredited higher education institutions and study programs, as well as the identification of national and regional priorities in the process of quality assurance in higher education.
On the first day, attendees considered all three parts of ESG (Standards for internal and external QA, Standards for QA agencies). The representatives of AZVO presented their experiences and examples of good practice as a basis for the discussion on the implementation of these standards by QA agencies in the higher education of the Western Balkan countries. On the second day, the activities of the RCC in the field of higher education were presented, and a discussion was held on the future of regional activity in the QA context.
